Ebay Suspension - alternative websites to sell unwanted items

Hey guys,

By reading the title, you probably would know that i have had my ebay account suspended for no apparent reason at all. I contacted ebay via telephone, live chat and email but got no where, i got the same response every time, its like they employ programmed robots to work for them. I never got a proper human response. Finally i got through to someone who understood english but still i never got to know why i was banned.

3 years it took me to get my power seller and top rated seller status, i was well happy, i had achieved something. I was going to start my own shop on ebay.

I did some reading on google and found that many people have had their accounts suspended for no reason. Ebay wrote to me saying the cannot tell me why account was suspended because it may allow me to avoid suspension in future.

What pisses me off is that there other sellers who have many negative feedbacks but they are still trading on ebay.

Ebay was part of my income, helped me pay bills as my parents can't afford to any more, it was so easy to list item and make money from them which i could use on my pc aswell.

Stay away from ebay people, they don't care about us, all they want is our money and they are happy.

Any ways, i wanted to ask if there is any other sites where you can buy and sell stuff, ones that people use a lot. I already use gumtree. Are there any others?

are they going to restore your account or is it gone for good?

The only other auction site I know of is http://uk.ebid.net/ whether they are any good or not I don't know.

i really don't know, i have read that some people got their account back after a year or so, only way i will know is when they email me that i can now use my account again.

I will be sure to check out ebid.

Nearly had mine suspended due to an argument with someone over the amount of time it took for me to post a case to him over christmas, ended up taking an entire month due to the snow and courier not being able to get my house...of which i tried to keep him regularly updated but the guy was so stroppy that he opened a complaint proceedure and after having finally got the case posted he managed to get the money claimed back via paypal which left me with no money, no case and a £40 ebay bill to pay from all my sales that month

Hope yours gets worked out, i'm not sure if im allowed to mention the place i sell most of my kit, it's another forum with a similar name to overclock3d

Stuff the rating system it sucks......

Done it loads of times .. why cos i dont like paying there feeds when some one rips me off .... And i wont pay them and there is naff all they can do about it ... the secret is they dont have you signature and cannot do naff all about it ... If a company phones you demanding paying (ebay) ask them for the records and they cannot show you them there for they hold no argument in the laws eyes.

The weird thing i have been noticing since my account got banned back in august 2011 is that im still getting monthly invoices for my account which seems strange really, from then till now, i have got one every month, i do hope i get my account back. I have given ebid a try ad its useless, i have listed many items up, with the option of having them shown on google shopping but all i've done is pay them listing fees. ebid are better than ebay in many ways but they are just not as popular.

Ebay will send you monthly invoices but they don't charge you anything unless you have listed or sold something, I get them every month as well. Strange you are getting them if your account is banned though.

If you are getting invoices it should be up and running but you might still get them if it's suspended and not deleted because it's automated. Best thing to do is try and list something and then end the auction if it is still working, you will have to pay the listing fees but it's only 50p or something like that.

I'll try it at my cousin house as i don't want to get my sister's account banned which she created for her business, last time i read on the net ebay were keeping a record of people's ip address, i dont know if it true but dont to risk it.
