Dropped my temps 5oc or more.

I just decided to lap the heatspreader on my P4 today.

After spending 1hr slowly grinding it down to the copper underneath and then polishing it all up, i can safely say that my temps have dropped 5oc, and thats without the AS5 even bedding in.

Nice! I was going to do it on my 3500+.. Good I didn't because I'm trying to sell it brand new on eBay hehe

Wish i could, but unfortunatly the misus broke my digital camera by forcing the usb cable in the wrong way up.

I did try to get one on my mobile phone camera, but it didn't so the shiney copper any justice

So am i! I did take care with plenty of tape ans stuff....after all, lapping it with water was a bit worrying!!

I dunno... lol. It does 300mhz quite easily at 2.5-4-3-6. It runs so super sweet at 2-2-2-5 / 240mhz though. I don't know what'd I'd do without this ram IMO it's the best ram ever made, cheers to Samsung TCCD IC's

# 40 micron (yellow)

# 25 micron (green)

# 20 micron (blue)

# 15 micron (peach)

# 10 micron (light green)

If I took a bit of rubbing alcohol I could probably get rid of all the pesky smudge marks that arent coming off...
