Have you tried:

http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/advidx.htm - they have the specs for advent kit and some driver links.

right clicking 'my computer' for the properties gives you the chip details (just in case you need this.

thanks i cant remember what model my PC is though it isnt on the front only says Advent

well it can find the right drivers so its got one up on you already lol

just download and install everest, take down what hardware is in it, save the correct ethernet drivers to a disc and reformat to xp. with the ethernet drivers installed you will be able to download all the latest drivers

whats the site to download it mate i cant find it?

These sites tell you whether your drivers are up to date. You have to save it then run/install both the driversguide and Everest home edition 2.5. If you want an online scan, try driveragent.com. Again, these have a membership fee for driver downloads but they do tell you what's in your PC.

For an install of XP, I just let XP have a go with what it has, then get updates myself based on what components any of the 3 driver search agents above have identified as being out of date.

Some computers come with their drivers on a seperate partition or inside the main partition hiding inside a folder.

My laptop had its drivers on the other partition

Hope this is any help to you :)

oh right how do you get to see this dude? because i rekon mine could be

even if there are drivers on there and they're hidden they'll be old as fu*k

i dont get what the big complication is, download the app from the link i gave you and it will tell you everything, then just do as i said

If you look in....

C:\applications\drivers

C:\applications\tools

That's where Techguys say they are for Advent PCs

But as llwyd says, they will be old and the Everest program will tell you everything so you can download the up to date versions.
