Does Music Effect You as a Person?

Do you think that music can change your personality? I listen to a lot of.. Well, call it psycho rap. As some examples: Tech N9ne, Brotha Lynch Hung and Krizz Kaliko. (I bet there's far worse out there, so don't comment about that.)

So anyway, it does, well, make me feel different. Like, I get really focused and think that nobody should mess with me now. It sounds very silly, but it's the way I feel.

And when I listen to more house stuff and such I want to just push everything to the limit. Anyone else feel this way about music? I know it sounds very silly, but at least I'm honest.

Music I listen to my parents played when I was knee high to a grasshopper has a very calming affect, music from my rave era still gives me an adrenaline rush even now. Music I hear on the radio these days make me sigh and put Smooth radio on, much to my teenage daughters disgust

, I listen mostly Trance and Dance. The music takes all my problems away and I can relax and chill to the music. The music has to give me that spine tingling feeling.

New stereo on the way, these laptop speakers just don't cut it.

Hopefully be here Monday, really need some music. I have 12GB worth of music I am dying to listen to.

My stereo arrived couple of weeks ago with my 1TB HDD for music.... it's awesome... 700w Sony with USB and iPod connectivity.

I would definitely say music affects your personality, especially when your young. I know as I'm only seventeen myself. I listen to many different music genres for many different reasons and I have got to admit that Rap has been the most beneficial one for me (call me crazy).

But then again, my music depends upon my mood, and other times my mood depends upon my music. I think in general young people listen different music depending on what they want to gain from it, and alot of people let it define there personality because of that. Just dont let Rap do the same to you.

Missed this thread, and when I read KapteinFruit post I wonder if he is the "Techno Viking" off you tube, music certainly changed his personality

.

To answer your question though - yes it does / can. Shops use it all the time to make you feel good and spend more. Music can make people aggressive, learn better, relax, cry all of which change how you feel and thereby your personality.

@ Lasher , iknow exactly where you are coming from matey.
