Does anyone know if an application like this exists for Linux ?

Well, Im thinking of giving linux a go (no idea which distro yet, maybe fedora) but i need to be able to use an application for music so i can monitor sound levels, eq spectrums, etc. Not a recording program, just a monitoring one.

i cant find one but wandering if any body a bit more familiar might be able to.
