Display driver error

I think some monitors automatically switch between profiles, maybe that explains the black screen.

For the display driver thing, maybe there is a registry based error, causing that popup you mentioned. I've had this happen to me once, but it never happened again, so I'm not too sure.

I'm not sure. Tomorrow I'm going to swap in my old card and see if the error still occurs. Hopefully it won't and I can RMA my card.

I swapped in my old 6600GT and I have not gotten the error yet. The only thing that has me curious is since this card doesn't use any connections from my PSU could the issue still be the PSU? I guess once I RMA my card and get the new one I will figure out.

sounds like a faulty card to me I get those errors when I'm benching with an unstable oc on card or cpu. Since this only happens with the cpu in question I'm guessing shes a dud

Talked to EVGA today so hopefully they will approve my RMA so I can send out my card next week.

Could a faulty PSU cause a driver error?

When I was overclocking the graphics card, it was unstable in Crysis2 at some clocks, and this is the exact error I got, along with the card resetting its clocks back to a Core/Memory of 800/2048
