dfi expert issues help plz

Hi all,

Ok have just finished my build and have tried to install windows. Ive enabled raid and started the windows disc up, but when it gets to specify additional drivers etc and i press s to install the raid drivers i load the disc from the floppy and i keep getting an error message as follows

File txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (512) at line 1747 in d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

press any key to continue.

I have no idea whats wrong and have been pulling me hair out, does anyone have any idea whats wrong? Thanks in advance

Isnt it F6 to load up the RAID drivers?

Have you flashed the BIOS?

I am assuming you are using NVRAID, not the SIL RAID (cos its not very good), that being the case disable the SIL RAID/SATA controller in the BIOS, oh and make aure you have enable NVRAID in the BIOS.

Make sure only the RAID disks are installed (ports 1&3 are best), also you need to set-up the RAID config, press F10 when prompted (if that dont come up during the posting, then you have not enable NVRAID in the BIOS) select stripe and optimum and make sure that both drives are selected (moved into the right hand box)

just incase anyone runs into similar probs the problem was a corrupt disk so download the drivers and use those

d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c. - that your xp cd location or raid driver one?

sorted now - the RAID driver floppy disk supplied was corrupt.
