Desperate need in wiring help.

Hello guys, So I want to do some custom wiring for my PSU.

Before taking them apart, i want to know the components of the PSU wires and if there are specifics that need to be used for wiring. For example, custom sleeves are 3mm or 4mm depending on brand, does that mean that the wire used in the PSU is 3mm?

So if i were to accidentally cut one wire on my 24pin wire, i would need to get two crimps, one 3mm copper wire, replace the cut wire and voila it would work? There is no special wire i have to use with specific electrical resistances and voltage standoff capacity, bla bla bla. Who knows if there are different types of 3mm wires out there?

Can anyone give me a link to a spool of wire that i can buy to make my own extenders and such?

Just use good quality wire and do it right dude. Doesnt matter what we tell you here and how much indepth we go its down to your ability.

I wouldnt crimp it in like a car Id solder mine in tbh. otherwise youll have ugly plastic fittings ruiuning the flow of the cables

Your best bet would be the Tube mate, Lutro has about the best videos out there. For the supplies E22 is pretty good. http://www.e22.biz/ I was in the same boat a few weeks ago, and due to cost had mine made, for 4 x pcie, 1 24pin and an 8 pin eps was only £100, and they are not extensions, but psu specific. The cost of making a set is silly high unless you plan on doing it more than a couple of times. For the custom set I used james over at Pexon, but Shakmods use James too. http://shakmods.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/PexonPCs. he does some great work, with only about a 5 day turn around, I can't recommend him enough.
