Dell 3007WFP

Hey guys I just grabbed a 2560x1600 Monitor it's a Dell 3007WFP.

ATM I cannot get it above 1280x800 :mellow:

It's connected directly to my videocard by DVI. Is there something I'm missing here? Am I suppose to purchase a matching magic wand with it or something to get it going :lol:

Can you check if the DVI cable you are using is a DVI-D Dual-Link cable?
It appears that it won't go any higher in resolution with a single link dvi.

Hey I was just looking at the cable right now.. I bought it used and atm it's looking like the guy nipped me with a run of the mill DVI cable

I will post images to confirm...

The one in the picture is the simple dvi cable (notice the gap in between pins, that's how you know).
And yes the one on canadacomputers is the one you need.

I went down the street to some idiot at a computer store to confirm my suspicion and the guy was just like no help at all basically told me ask Dell and use the cable that comes with my video card..........
