Im after a decent HDD for my carpc it doesnt have to be big but energy efficient would be a plus and also speed im not looking at SSD as I cant justify the cost for this unless you can point me in the direction of a 80-100 GB drive for around £40-50.

Not looking for size it would be a total waste im after speed, quality and power efficiency not overly concerned about the last but it would be nice.

yeah the seagate xt ssd looks good not to bad on price still over budget as for the other 2 there still a little over kill on size although they put me onto this which seems quite good .

dude, you should be getting 500GB for that budget, regardless of the model.

that hdd running at 7200rpm isnt gonna be the quietest especially at 2.5", and at 160GB its poor value for money imo.

i didnt link the hard drive to you because of capacity, if you read the description and reviews its very quiet.

any 2.5 is going to be alil noisey when seeking.. the momentus is realy worth the stretch if you can!

noise isnt an issue as its going in a car PC and if you heard my car you would understand it just needs to run well and I say capacity isnt an issue cos all it will have on it is XP 2 maybe 3 programs that monitor the car and my music collection which isnt massive.

I am tempted my the momentus maybe even just for my desktop to replace my 2 raptor x,s.

Thanks for all the suggestions and keep em comin.
