Dead DDC-1 Plus 18W Red Impeller - Help Please!

Hi OC3D'ers.

I'm not sure if i'm mistaken but i'm sure there's someone here who knows of this issue. I have one of these pumps which has failed & remember reading on a website somewhere a long while back, that this type of DDC pump had a higher failure rate than most. Acknowledging this the manufacturer agreed to replace any faulty ones whether within the 1yr warranty or not.

Is there a shred of truth to this or am I thinking wishfully?

Cheers guys! :)

Try contacting your supplier first. Swiftech im pretty sure has a 1 yr warranty, im not to keen on Liang. But iv heard of many people exchanging their pumps for the new revisions. GL

IIRC some of the really early DDC's had a pretty crappy life-span. I think they corrected the problem pretty quickly though.

Regardless, you shouldn't have any problem getting the pump swapped out if its still under warranty.

Thanks guys.

I'm not sure which make it is but i'm assuming it's a Laing. I'll pop an email to them now & see if I can make any progress. I'll post back on the results here, for anyone else in the same situation.

In the meantime if somebody has successfully RMA'd a DDC w/ red impeller that's over a year old please drop me a message.
