[Problem]- PC starts terrible lag after few hours... help please...

yes mate if i wait it out it just gets progressively worse then my headphones (usb) give a loud ringing sound and i cant do anything. pc completely hangs and i have to do reset...

It kind of sounds like a usb sound driver issue since it uses the cpu to process the sound.
Are you using onboard sound for speakers or do you use usb sound all the time ?

Is that 3 hours of heavy usage (eg. gaming) or light usage?

Out of curiosity. Are you using a "ripped" version of windows 7 e.g rockersteam often did their own version of windows called black edition, which had removed many unnecessary features of win7. However it was prone to its own little bugs and faults.

You can still use a legit product key with this, so I am not accusing you of piracy.

It's probably the OCZ drive, put your OS on another drive and try again

This might seem like an odd question, but what adobe products do you install each time after a fresh install? I've seen Adobe Reader completely freeze my pc by randomly using very high amounts of cpu and assigning itself to random cores incredibly quickly. next time it happens grab a screenshot of your processes.


Tbh Excalabur is probably right, it is an OCZ drive.
