Hi guys I need some help. My Palit jet stream gtx 780ti was running a benchmark and I touched the back of the pcb and the card just switched off. I'm worried I might have fried it. I've tried flashing it but the only thing that comes up is a plx 8747h. When I plug in my second gtx 780ti, the second one comes up in the bios and I can flash it. Any ideas?

This really sucks.

you touched the pcb while it was switched on???? that was a silly thing to do, think you have probably fried it fella

depends on what you touched tbh, if you touched the pins behind the gpu core, its 99% fried, if you touched one of the memory chips, you MIGHT have just moved the card enough for the pci slot not to align properly anymore, try taking it out and let it dry for a couple of days, maybe use a hair dryer, could be some of the sweat off your fingers is shorting something not critical, and thats being VERY optimistic here.

That's where I tapped it:

I might use the hairdryer idea.

youre finger might have acted as a conductor and shorted it out, I hardly think the hairdryer idea would work as theyre wayyyyy too far apart to be affected by something that thin.

Those are the solder points for mosfets & chokes, as the rest of the boys have stated it looks like you've shorted it. NOT GOOD. You could RMA it I suppose..

I guess its kinda like when you touch the car door and you get a sting of electricity. You shouldn't have wore socks on your carpet. :p
