D5 pump question

Hi all,
I have a Alphacool VPP655 / Laing D5 Single Edition Pump with 4 pin molex fitting on the end, was wondering if anyone has swapped over to the 3pin fan header as i have a BigNG Mcube and would love to be able to control the speed with finer degree and not have to open up case when ever i need to play around with speeds.

Any help on this matter would be great

Yes you can control a D5 of a fan controller, however the fan controller must be able to power 25Watt on that channel.

You would be best getting a 3pin to 4 pin adapter rather than butchering the d5s cable.

Why would you need to play around with the speeds?
Juts find a good performance/noise level and leave it.

So i am able to create a response curve that my BigNG is able to take care of autonomously due to conditions placed upon it, as the placements of my D5 pumps in the Rez bay mounts of my Koolance RP 452, is very tricky to get to and change.

The NG cant handle a D5 at full power...its about 4w short on the channel.
I use a Lamptron FC5 and it chugs happily all day.

If you damp the pump properly you can run it on full power 24/7 and not hear it anyway.
