Ok, So me and my friend Frosty have been going back and forth trying to troubleshoot his new build, and we've come to the conclusion that the 8-pin connector on his PSU is faulty.
Just to double check, we ran his rig, with his PSU, and his power phase LEDs didn't turn on. Then we ran his rig again, with his PSU again, but with the 8-pin unplugged, exactly the same issue.
Next we ran My rig, on his PSU and MY power phase LEDs didn't light up either. We then once again ran my rig, his PSU but the 8-pin unplugged and still, no phase LEDs.
Also, the 8-pin connector is a little loose and can move a few mm back and forth, without the cables inside moving...
My rig run perfectly with my PSU, so it must be his PSU right..?
Now the next question; does he need to RMA the PSU, or would it be possible to whip the connector off and repair it ourselves..? (I'm confident with PC equipment, but I can't use a soldering iron, so that's out the question...)
