Custom-made metal plates

Hey all. I`m still working on the Chieftec case- Vapo interaction and I`ve got the Vapo in, but its sitting on a custom-made reinforced cardboard plate...which is not particularly sexy. Do any of you know where I can get a metal plate made? I got all the dimensions...all I need is someone with the "skillz" It doesnt need to be very fancy, and cheap would be nice

Thanks a lot

P.S....Moved this from General discussion as it didnt really belong there.

Just noticed we cant delete stuff any more? Cant delete the other post now to keep the forum clean :(

Heyo Skinny. Very roughly 180x 272mm on the mian plane with a 50mm x 180mm plate at 90degrees, overall its an L-shaped plate... can send you more details by PM or send you a sketch, if you think you can help from those rough measurements...

Thanks a lot

Kenny :)

LOL..fair enough. Thats what i`m after. Still to triple double quadruple-check the dimensions. But that i`m pretty sure is the final shape. That will also be checked

P.S... @ Tim... If ur still interested/ not bored of waiting, the Vapo into a Chieftec is coming along nicely... this plate is for it, obviously, but theres a a few pics waiting to be uploaded :)

Hey, I can probably sort that plate out 4 ya. I will need accurate dimensions for the drawing tho. Also what spec metal do would you want it made from (thickness, material, finish etc...)

Stocky

(edit: thought I was writing a PM!)

LOL Thanks stocky. The material isnt THAT important, but must be thick enough/ rigid enough to suppport the weight of a Vapochill PE (Danfoss BD50 compressor) with no bowing of the plate in the middle

Will go over the dimensions in a bit and get back to you, please can you get back to me with a rough price?

Thanks a lot Stocky :)

Kenny

Hehe, it's on the way to you now :D

Post up some piccys if it works, (when it's fitted) :)

I hope the metal is strong enough, if not - let me know...

Kenny Happy! There will be much picturage once its all in, no worries about that. I`m away between Monday and Thursday so will try it on Thursday night/ Friday :)

Thankyou very much sir!

Kenny

There it is! Got it today, looks very very good, and the rad is in great condition too! Will post more pics and a kinda writeup when it gets set up properly, that was a quick-fit to make sure it fit ok (not that I doubted you) and could take the weight.

Thankyou very much Stocky! :D

Kenny :)

WEY! :)

That looks good! I spent a bit of time smoothing the edges off, so that they are cut-proof :D

I'll get those screws off to you, as they are quite decent ones :)

Yea, the edges are immaculate!! Still to make the holes for the compressor hold-downs, am a bit nervous I mess up the work you`ve done! :D

Kenny

Yeah, I wondered about the holes...

I figured you weren't sure where the holes were going to sit until you had the plate in place. Ideally I would have run two thin box sections along the holes to add strength/ rigidity to it.

Get some pics up when its all together :D
