Crytek has reportedly not paid some employees for over 3 months

Strange. Didn't they get like a 100$ million investment from a source who didn't want to be named? I swear I remember reading something where they received a massive investment from a large company

Not a lot of runway really when you have so many employees and rent to pay and literally no income from games. They are relying solely on CryEngine.

Wouldn't be surprised if EA was waiting for the perfect moment to buy them for next to nothing.

How has this popped up again?

This was also mentioned over a year ago when the rumours of Crytek going bankrupt came about.

Strange that the same details have popped up regarding 3 month unpaid salary.

And yes NBD you are correct.

Didn't we discover that investment came from Amazon? Since they now offer the Crytek engine as part of their 'services' now...

Ah yes it was Amazon! They announced a game I think using this engine too iirc. I really don't think Crytek will go out if business if Amazon is backing them.. Amazon isn't hurting for money.

I'm not sure they're backing them, but they definitely 'acquired' the engine for their own uses.

I just read the news from Kitguru who had a verified source speaking with them. It really is in a bad state right now. Also for those who might check it out, read the comments.

I really do feel sorry for these guys when management aren't even showing up at the office.

Everything started getting bad once again in June
