Crysis demofunmaps

Here are 2 new levels for the demo, they add guns, tanks, vehicles, helicopters, & boats. Level #4 includes an alien which tracks you as you travel the map, it's annoying because it can't be killed. You also face approx double the amount of NK opponents. I've played level #4, but prefer the original Demo. I also tried level #5 but couldn't find the island with all the weapons.

(it's easy to change back to the original demo)

the cfg hack enables i'd say 90% of the very high settings without the use of the dx10 pathway, volumetric shadows for example, i'm pretty sure theres some slight blue shift in the HDR, and some other things, the water is massively different between high and very high, much more movement :D its great

Crap sorry you are right I forgot about that hack, my apologies. I wasnt thinking when I said that.

I try play DX10 and it just crashes the game, so i have alt+tab out then close it.. I am using vista 64-bit.. Ill try it again tomorrow.
 
Dont bother. Crysis has a problem with 64 bit Vista. They are fixing it at the moment but right now its just being problematic.
 
i've not been able to play on my rig for a few days now (testing mem)...

i thought the 169.04 drivers were supposed to fix crysis in vista64 ? *shrug* :(
 
got mine working in 64 bit vista, looks awesome, however everything very high is a BAD slideshow, also on first run everything was very very blurry.

i turned it all to high then back to very high seemed to fix the blurryness but still very very bad performance. also i believe the sp demo has motion blur in very high but the mp beta has it in high? anyone else picked up on this?

i can put everything but shaders to very high and the game is still jumpy but awesome to watch lol
 
Crysis cant run on 64-bit vista? or is it only on some comps.. do you think they'll fix it by dec-january? thats when im getting a new comp.. if they dont fix it for a while might as well get 32 bit o_O
 
Right, just got my new ram, backed down to 3.6 @ 1.5v on the quad so i can have 1200mhz @ 5-5-5-15, 88GT @ 700/1750/950.

Applied the reg changes/hack to the demo to enable Very High in XP/dx9 and I can play smoothly @ 1600x1200 with x8 AA :D

Very happy.

Basically it is just enchanced lighting? Cannot see a real big difference in Crysis.

But In UT3, seems to have nicer looking textures. :)
