hey all,

I've got the asrock z77 extreme 4 board

I 'm getting a "crazy" mouse in Bios.

I have already installed the latest drivers for the wireless Ms mouse and it works fine when the win r loaded.

but when I enter in bios it goes up and down like crazy

it's connected in USB2 port and also tested at a USB3 port too with the same results.

any ideas plz?

Some mice don't play nice with a UEFI BIOS, I had problems with my Steelseries XAI on my P8P67 and had to use the keyboard.

A bios update can fix this sometimes, but i don't think it's worth the bother as you can just use the keyboard. Some mice go crazy and others are perfectly fine, it's strange

gotta remember drivers have no play in the bios even UEFI drivers are loded with windows so thats why it works fine in windows. juts a compatability issue now sweat use keyboard or try a update to the UEFI

hm I also have this problem somewhat with my ASROCK ext 4 gen 3 p67 board, my mouse axis's are all f'ed up. However it is only with my g400 it works fine with those cheap optical mouse that come with like DELL pc's

My wired mouse works fine in the UEFI bios of my Asus mb... it just works at the lowest, slowest DPI setting. Slow motion mouse!

Seems to be mice with switchable DPI settings that UEFI BIOSes don't like. Have the same on my X79-UD5 with the Sentinel Zero-G, but seem to remember an old wireless one working okay.

bug them about support in upcoming bios revision dude, will only take longer if you dont tell them about the issue

u r right man, I'll do

the worst thing is that when the wireless mouse is plugged in and I turn on the pc it automatically loads the bios

I'll change it to a wireless one, it's annoying

I had this problem with my steelseries sensei with Asus bios, I think its the mice that have any kind of processor in them. One day it just started working..... That was before I did the latest flash. Strange

Built a pc for someone with an asrock boared. a standerd old logitech mouse worked fine, when his razor was connected it had the same issue. did not fined a fix for it either.

My cyborg works with my Asus board, can adjust DPI too.

my cyborg works as well, as does my nippers cybersnipa. but my ROG mouse, and razor mouse, and steel series dont. its not a problem for me, as i always use an old cruddy logitech mouse when building or benching anyway. but its annoying for anyone that spent a fortune on a mouse and cant use it in the bios.

Old school bios for you guys then....................... Arrow keys lol

I am a little surprised that anybody uses that Mouse in UEFI. Keyboard still seems so much quicker. Each to their own I suppose

as I already said it's not that crazy cursor that bothers me , it's the fact that when my wireless mouse is connected and I turn on my computer it automatically enters bios. so if I want to go in windows I have to disconnect the wireless mouse first.
