Crappy Case --> Awesome Case (Modding)

Been totting up prices and stuff. The sleeving alone is supposed to cost £140 from MDPC which is really quite expensive. So now im not sure what to do: stick with the MDPC stuff or go back to the sleeve from specialtech which would be much cheaper. What do you guys think?

Oops please forgive me. I accidentally added 7 sata sleeves :P

Here is a screenshot of the new total:

This looks much better. Makes me more inclined to buy MDPC aswell :D

This equates to £91.69 Total

Hey guys, been looking around a bit today. Where can i get some thin steel sheets (quite small ones)?

Hi guys,

So what fans do you guys reckon i should get?

I was planning on an enermax TB Apollish in the front because i need an LED fan in the front, but what about everywhere else? I haven't made any cuts yet so can have some 140's but im more thinking towards all 120mm's. Also i need one 92mm for the back.

If you guys have any suggestions of fans it would be much appreciated.

Also, i quite like the look of Noiseblocker black Silent and black silent pro but i'm having trouble finding the model that i want for a decent price (PL-2 and XL-2).

Can anyone help?

Just an idea, but something that I'm personally in love with; have a look at some coloured connectors for when you sleeve your PSU. Normally all PSUs come with black connectors, but I've got blue bitfenix alchemy extentions with the blue connectors and they look SOO much better in my opinion... Just my two cents ;)

Thanks for the idea, but i think im going to stick with black connectors. it makes it easier because the heatshrink im getting is black too. As with yours its just personal preference.

Again, just another two cents, have a look at some vids on Youtube on how to sleeve PSUs without heatshrink... It is a little harder to do, but it looks 1000x better ;)

I have a feeling Pexon here on the forums made a video on it, not too sure though, mind's a little dusty :P

I love the look of them both to be honest!

Right! Update time! Got started on the mods today. Didn't get much done but i'm all prepared for tomorrow. :)

I started sanding down everything: Just started off sanding but it was quite late and noisy so i decided to wait until tomorrow where i will make twice as much noise with the electric sander! :D

This is that electric sander i was just talking about:

Also prepared a template for the cuts i am going to make in the bottom:

And i don't have a dremmel or a jigsaw or anything else that can be useful for it so I'm going to be using an angle grinder:

That's all for today. If i have time i'll bring you guys an update tomorrow as well.
