Its a rubber seal that you put around the edges of the cut. It hides little imperfections and stops you getting cut on the edges.

edit: You shouldnt need it for the bottom, its more for side windows.

Is it not easier to just file the edges? I mean, its not going to be seen anyway, the fans will be above it.

Jesus, an angle grinder? you're gonna have to be really careful with your cuts aren't you?

i did all the cuts in my case using a grinder with a citting wheel. be extra careful that thing can get away from you.

Its been done before, you just need lots of u-channel.

or a lot of extra sanding to get the edges nice and rounded

be sure to do all of your modding before you put down any paint. build your rig before you put paint on it. make sure you have every thing that need to be cut out cutout i wasted. $30 on primer and paint and then had to pay another $30 to get it sandblasted and cleaned becaues i decided to keep on doing mods after i painted it.

Thanks man. On that topic. Didn't do a lot yesterday:

Basically cut the area for the fan mount to pull air through. Haven't drilled the mounting holes yet but i'm sure it'll be possible soon. Apart from that I've spent most of my day sanding. Almost out of coarse sandpaper and haven't even started sanding the side panels.

I'll update you guys in a few days with some pictures too
