CPU cooler benchmark software ?

hi,

I just had another mental breaktrough

what if we would make some sort of program that gives you a score on cooler performance.

We could use something similar to prime95 to get the cpu the max out and have an online database so the program can compare the temps you get with your cooler to people with identical setting on their pc and cooler.

Some of the problems are ofcourse the huge database you need but there are a lot of pc enthusiats who would use it so after a month or so it would be partially delt with.

another thing would be having a complete list of coolers to choose from and some way to make them all run at max speed with the program.

ow yes, another thing is i now almost nothing about making software so someone else would have to do it

The problem with something like this is it relies on honesty. What's stopping someone from using H20 or LN2 and saying they have a Tt Frio? That would throw the results off and make the database useless.

Good idea, but as the ones over said, it wouldn't really work. I think it would work alright since you do see if someone is putting up fake results. Maybe there could be like a voting thing and the people who got a bad rep had a huge sign saying they're not trust worthy.

Good idea for personal use especially. It's almost as good as tracking temperatures and if on a plain scale, like 1-100, thick souls would benefit
