CPU 1-2 Degrees from TJ MAX

Hey, im not sure where to put this narrowed it down to mainboard and cpu or air cooling,

Basically i decided that i would like to start making game video's so i gave it ago and i recorded a full 1080p battlefield game and after editing managed to get a 80gb file down to a 40 and then to a 2Gb video, i still wasnt content with having to upload a 2gb file as my up speed is crappy, 3-4mb/s up, I used format factory to convert a mp4 to a avi, this reduced the file size to 998mb, During the converting my keyboard flashed a warning telling me that my core 0,1,2,3 were at 90+ and were often 1-2 degrees from TJ max, i had use multi threads selected on the program

Is this normal, i have decent airflow and i have made sure that the heatsink is on well and it is using the stock thermal paste, is this normal?

some more information would be great
what cpu do you have?
what cpu cooler?
is your cpu overclocked?

Sorry, wrote that in a rush its a i5 2500k, @4Ghz With Stock Intel Cooler
Cpu was only at 60% usage aswell, Prime temp last time i did it was only 87% max

I wouldn't oc with the stock heatsink, get something like the Coolermaster 212

well there is your problem.. your cooler is way under holding epic battles of temperatures.
you can upgrade to a small budget cooler like the Cooler Master 212 (+ or EVO)
and get managable temperatures..

The stock cooler should be fine for 4GHZ, try re applying thermal paste

id agree for 4GHz, but not monster appz.. i believe the paste option is futile..
but for 15mins of play, give it a try.

stock auto voltage can be changed to a manual voltage to aleviate some of
the temperature, but if you are going to overclock, you really need the
proper hardware to do it with.

Ah well i had money left over from not getting a new gpu so thought whats good with a gpu if i dont have a cpu to use it on, wanted wcing for a long time so...
