Could you do better? Happy chappy looking for advice.

I am have been interested in pc stuff for the last few years but never got round to building myself a nice rig. So I have saved my pennies and huzzah I have money to spend on it. Quick note: I love corsair and sapphire.

What I have come up with:

CPU: i5-3570K

CPU cooller : Corsair H60

Motherboard: MSI Z77A G-43

GPU: Sapphire 7970 3gb OC

RAM:Corsair Vengance 8gb @ 1600mhz

PSU: Corsair TX750M

Boot drive: Crucial M4 64gb

Case: Corsair 600t

Add the tx750m as well. Cannot add to that because it's out of stock also the gpu will be the one with the aftermarket cooler on. I added the msi 7970 for quick price referencing. I also will add the 1tb and 250gb HDD I have now to the finished rig. Finally in this quick note I will order the 600t white with a window.

That all comes to around £1040. Ideally I would like it under £1000 but a few quid over is fine. What do you think I should change and do you have any problems with it?

Get rid of that H60 and replace it with a Noctua

The H60 isn't the best, and is easily beaten by the D14.

The 7950 performs almost identically to the 7970 when they're both overclocked, so that's a nice way to save a few pounds.

Other than that, you seem to have a solid build

Yup, Josh has got it spot on. You may also want to wait until the GTX 670 comes out on Thursday, from the benchmarks currently circling the web it looks as though it beats the 7950, 7970 and can also beat a 680 when overclocked. It should also be priced between the 7950 and 7970.

Another qeustion. £35. What headphones would you buy. They need to have a mic and the ability to mute the mic whilst using them via button or switch on them. The ones I have now seem to be playing up.

no button to turn mic off but you can take it off and use as casual full ear headphones, besides why not push to talk?

H60 should be fine on IB really - should get a decent 4.x OC on ~1.2v. Should get acceptable temps in the late 70s/early 80s under stress I'd imagine but it isn't the best cooler out there for sure.

Another possible system. More food for my brain. Will have to have a hard think in bed tonight about the cpu now. I mean the only clear advantage of the ivy bridge is 4000HD graphics but I am gonna use the 79** anyway....

I do't think aria does. If they did I thjink shipping would be very high. I would say email them and ask.
