nice work so far, and i understand were your going... but reconsider the gene mb, mATX boards always look funny in larger-than-mATX cases, so consider a full sized board perhaps? youll potentially get more bang for your buck to that way

nice job. I like the lighting. The colour of the board is not to my liking though. A black pcb would be better.

Thanks, Yes the collor of the board is ugly but i will upgrade to an Asus maximus V Gene soon.

The colour of the board!! Ahhhhh! :)

Will look a lot better when you upgrade!

Yea i will upgrade to an Asus maximus V Gene soon.

Nice build mate, It will look 10x better once the upgrades are in. ^_^

Thanks.

Thanks, yes a full sized board will look better but the V Gene fit to my build perfectly, its good quality for overclocking and its red/black and it all i need. a V formula would look better but then im spending 100 more euro's just for the looks. but i have to say it will look way better.

It'd be worth the money to get the formula to me.

If not, you could always get the Z77 mPower which is nearly all black and would still fit the scheme. It should give you better performance than the Gene.

160 euros for a motherboard is already a lot (im my opinion) so i dont realy wanna push it to 260 just foor the looks. and the yellow on the z77 mpower is anoying me.

Tbh, on the mPower, you aren't even going to barely see the yellow. Most of it will be covered by the graphics card and the H80 rad.

It's up to you. But it is a better board, and will give you a lot more room to upgrade in the future.

The Gene is an MATX board it will look stupid in an ATX case.

Also Id start having a play with your fans for better temps....... (the SP in the roof put it on the H80 and have them sucking air in from outside....)

true the yellow will be coverd by the h80 rad and graphics casrd but i kinda have a asus/corsair build so maby i go for a formula instead of a gene.

There is not enough room for push pull on the h80 so i decides to put the left over sp fan in the top (a 140mm didnt fit). And i might go for a formula instead of a gene but im not yet sure.

probably a good idea, as much for future upgrades a just plain aesthetic purposes. dont get me wrong, the gene is a great board, i love mine, but the formula has everything the gene has, with more of the main stuff and more potential.

your building in a full sized case anyway, you may as well get the big fella... youll regret it later (not spending that little extra) when you run out of pcie slots or sata ports but still have a tonne of room in the case.

Not bad at all......

Thanks.

I have decited to go with the msi z77 mpower and re paint the yellow to red so it will fit the color sceme.
