Corsair *Apparently* Being Invesitgated By The Trading Standards Agency
So I was chatting with an old school mate of mine today who works for the trading standards agency in the UK and we got on to the topic of computers and then eventually I told her how excited I was about the new RGB K95 coming out.
Now apparently because for the past year nearly every batch of Corsair K70's and K95's has had a LED die within a few weeks of being purchased/turned on which then leads on to more LEDs dying which in turn pisses off a lot of people because these things are not cheap.
You only need to look on the Corsair forums and every 2nd post is about a keyboard with dead LEDs.
Anyway I was told this because Corsair are *Apparently* knowingly marketing defective products, Even though Corsair say "Oh errr we didn't know errrr must of slipped through" and make up numerous excuses.
Just to note this has nothing to do with Corsairs customer service which are all amazing men and women and do their job superbly, This is more to do with the management side of things that are making some bad decisions.
So A LOT of pissed off people reported them and are now they are being investigated by the trading standards agency.
I hope something comes out of this as I myself have gone through 3 x K95's all with various dead LED's ranging from the macro keys to the numpad keys and I take care of my stuff i.e non static environment, Very clean etc...
I know there will be certain people who say "Well I've had mine for ages and it works fine" well to you I say GREAT, I'm happy that you got a good one but the majority of people haven't.
Disclaimer: Only passing on what I have been told.
