Hi all

I'm pretty good at wood work and seen this desk below and wanted to create more or less a replica.

but was thinking on the cooling side of things, with the desk size this big, i could maybe fit something alittle more extreme cooling wise, i meen fridge parts maybe? but slightly worried doign that for water condensation reasons, *was thinking of maybe putting massive slab of metal between to prevent it though, but i just need some ideas/guidance here, cooling wise, i want beastly.

I'd stick to things actually designed for PCs tbh. Fridge cooling would be quite loud I'd imagine. Plus you've got enough headroom for any component to cool if you whack in some massive pump and massive rads into a desk. Something like the phobya supernova or just a couple of 560mm rads. With thick enough wood and good foam you could noise silence that as well.

Interested to see where this goes!

You'd have to be real careful with anything that creates temps lower than room temp.
As James has said, just stick to a adding rads etc.

Absolutely, just go for a few rads. The Phobya G-Changer 1080mm rad would be great for this I guess. Or just a couple of 480/560mm rads :)

You say you are good at woodwork, but that desk is made out of metal :P Go for it if you are up for it though

what is made of metal can be duplicated in wood.. hardwoods especially.
ive fashioned
PC front bezels out of wood and they were specatular. and im not forbidden to
do it again.. and possibly soon..
