Compression Fitting Help

Currently using 7/16" ID x 5/8" OD tubing and have 7/16" x 5/8" compression fittings. I need to do a couple of 45 degree angles. Few places I looked don't seem to carry them in this size, only 90 degree fitings.

Anyone know if they exist? Or would I need something like a Rotary Adapter-45° and then connect in my normal compression fitting onto this?

Bitspower's 45 degree extension should be fine

It's basically 1/4" on both ends so you then attach your compression fitting on the end. The ones you linked to should be sufficient

Just get a normal 45 or 90 adapter and then screw your compression into it.

If they are too big though some 90 fittings wont work with compressions though. (compression hits the block)

Quick thought - I know you can use 7/16" ID tubing on 1/2" barbs - nice and tight. Could I then use a 1/2" ID x 5/8" OD 45 degree compression fitting?

Would save me using an adapter then the 7/16" compression fitting. Tubing would be a tight fit, but would it work with the 1/2" compression?

Don't use compression fittings myself, but I think it won't work, because of the smaller OD on the tube, the fitting can't be tightened.

I think 7/16 is 5/8 OD so the compression wouldn't fit and tighten mate, can't you use a barb?

Can you not get one as a punt and try it?

Well, my compression fittings are 7/16x5/8 and tubing is 7/16x5/8 - why wouldn't a 1/2x5/8 work correctly? Would be a tighter fit on the tubing, but being 5/8 OD, shouldn't the compression fit properly?
And yes, I can just use a compression fitting directly, but I am trying to create some "angles" so my runs will be a bit more clean. But, they don't make 7/16x5/8 @45 degree compression fittings.
I can use say an adapter easily enough, but might look a bit cleaner, and use less parts, if that 45 degree comp fitting would work.
I have no clue, so thought to ask.

Hmm maybe, I'm not sure tbh mate sorry. I only have my 7/16 tube lying about, I haven't got any 1/2 id left, but i'm pretty sure the walls are thicker on the 1/2 stuff.

because the 7/16" will "flare" on the comp barb, thus making the OD larger than 5/8".

there is no difference between using a 45° fitting and installing a compression
fitting onto it.. they are the same thing in rotary, non-rotary, and fixed.
7/16" is not a common size like the 3/8" and 1/2", so not to be suprized a
fitting might not be available.
