competition

I think a little friendly competition would do the oc3d community well. I remember over at xs there was a giveaway, the deal was you had to get a certain score in 3dmark2001. I think we should do similar things, just for fun. or like have to get a screenshot in a game. be like "where can you find,..." blah blah blah in battlefield 2? stuff like that. Since I am not being very clear, any additions to this idea are welcome!

I like your second idea a lot. Like you said, ask for a certain place or thing in game, and see who can come up with it. Or have like who can make the best garry's mod scene, or the funniest screenshot of any game or etc etc. Have a new competition type thing every week or two.

EXACTLY! :) we could have a lot of fun with taking the funniest screenshots for sure.

Really though, your ideas are great, but we can't really decide like this. Unfortunately Kemp and XMS, don't really have that kind of cash (I think) to give out prizes like that. Most, if not all our comps are sponsored. Great ideas though!

I don't like the first idea but second ROCK ON!

I feel that the first was unfair seeing as some people don't have SUPER computers( like myself).

But the second one is Dudey!:yumyum:

A dual core SLI set-up....

It may not be kentsfield but its about 100x better than the majority of computers in this country.

I liek the funny screenshots idea.

Actually, you really don't need a super computer to require extreme tweaking skills. For example, the XS comp was in 3DMark2001, and I think the score required was like 1081 or something really low like that. (maybe it was 10k something...)
