I have a 68 U at the moment.

I am not very proud of it because a better decision would have been a 68 GT and later a second one with SLI. I will never afford another 68 U.

But yeah currently ATI cant "Realy" compete with nvidia and Intel not with AMD.

With ATI that will change in the near future... I dont see a change in Intel VS AMD yet.

jesus christ i know. intel is prolly shitting themselves, still. lol

Intel still has 70% of the market ;)

As long as it has the Intel name people are still going to buy it.. "Look! It has bigger GHz! It must be better!"

However Intel isn't going to do nothing about it, even if they have been owned in the dual core section this round. They aren't that far behind in games and I doubt they are getting anywhere near shitting themselves. They'll come-back with something, it's just like nVidia and ATI :) They can't be the top-dog all the time.

Yeah I know a bunch of idiots who think speed is everything. I just want to scalp them and grind some sense into their skull with a power drill. It's that american style ignorance that gives intel the lead. You don't see this a lot in video industry because most people who buy vid cards aren't randomly spending $400.

The thing is, AMD and nVidia are both obviously in the lead at the moment. But it's not like it's going to be that way forever, companies will keep coming out with better things.

nVidia was leading the graphics card market for quite some time until they made the FX mistake, at this time ATI took the lead. However nVidia are back ahead now due to some excellent new products :D

Intel was ahead for ages until just recently when AMD came out with their AMD64, however this only beats Intel in gaming, if you're doing serious work you will still want an Intel. But! Now Dual Core is coming out, and it looks like Intel aren't even going to be holding their media application title.

The point I am trying to make is one company isn't going to hold the lead forever, and overall you can't put nVidia against ATI or Intel against AMD. They are all very good chips :)

lol. I have to admit, when I bought my Intel, it was mostly my friend in Georgia who swayed me away from AMD, (now he has a AMD 3000+ Winnie @ 2.5GHz lmfao) and the fact that it was 2400mhz. but, if you all wanna kill him, I can tell you where he lives! :D

i think amd has the better processor and nvidea has the better graphics card,

i have the amd athlon 64 3000+

and the Nvidea Geforce FX5500 256mb

WHile I agree, I think the price of the x850 is really high. This is competing with 6800GT's which are cheaper and can OC easily to an Ultra!

I don't care who takes over in the future, as long as it kicks ass!! :D

X850XT PE is designed to kill the 6800 Ultra (which it does), and it costs less.

The x850 is just an x800 with more armor. The R520 is designed to kill nvidia in general. 2 R520s in ati sli will be unstoppable.

Agreed... I plan on running just one :)

Orrrrr... If I wanna get real crazy I'll wait till Sapphire releases the new Radeon Xpress 200 mobo w/ ATI's SLi support and then dual r520 it. Decisions decisions!

I think I'm gonna sit out on the next cards and buy something in 1.5-2 years. I want to see how ati sli and the next cores turn out. My card should hold out until the R600 or whatever. I may have to lower my settings to medium or turn off AA in couple years but that's ok. Those ati motherboards are gonna be nice too packed with a dual core A64.

Yeah I'm not in a huge rush to get a new vid card... I think a GT that pulls 6100 in 3dMark05 should fair pretty well for the next year or so :)
