so it's the same game from 2 different sources so it won't change the experience tbh just want to know if the 360 version looks better than the demo for it does...
 
No offense but i doubt seriously a console game will look better than a PC game.

And to the guys getting 360 controlers, as far as i know there are no Windows drivers for the actual Xbox ones. Thats why they released a 360 controler for the PC.
 
excellent kemp thankyou i will most likely go and swap out my copy as soon as possible then. (unless some fix comes out for the fubard saves sooner than i can get the cash)
 
i have to agree the menu system is fantastic i was thinking of using it as a case study for my interactivity part of my degree its brilliant

if you have a 360 controller, wiggle the right stick and it moves it around in the view :D very nice :D
 
It does look a superb game graphically, although seems to be a bit "arcadey" for me, normally I prefer stuff like Live For Speed. Think I'll try out the demo though when I get a new / fixed wheel, as my Formula Force GP broke :/
 
what are you guys on PC using to play this game?

im using a logitech game pad......finding it very hard to control the bloody car!

i've set the steering saturation(sp?) thingy to 1%, it helps a bit, but the car still tries to hug the nearest wall or fly off the cliff!

blah.....sore thumb.......
 
yeah, got it all setup.

im not sure which settings i can reduce so the steering isnt 'instant'.....i like it to be a bit 'slower'

blah.....my thumb is knacked.....
 
using an xbox 360 pad with the microsoft drivers atm.

the automatic setups provided in DiRT are a bit crap at times, have you tried playing with the toe and camber settings in the car setup?
 
I have tried to tweak a few things in the setup, especially gear ratio's which really help.

Getting pretty good at it now, can win on "Pro-AM" :) (I'm not generally amazing at racing games)
 
I found the keyboard controls nigh on impossible myself so likely need to fork out for a steering wheel pedal combo.

i just had another go, im now a pro at stopping just before i fly off the cliff!:D

so far, i've only manage to get the steering slow down a little bit via 'steering saturation' thingy in Control options.

think its just a matter of getting used to it.......the steering is so 'twitchy' i can only just manage to beat AI in Clubman level......blah.......

and i've also discover Motion Blur at 1920x1200 = motion sickness:crazy: , had to switch it off, i really dont know why i get dizzy from it, lol

oh....and......any tips in this game? like what car to buy? i've just got a option to buy a Evo9, couldnt resist!:D
