Cold boot fan issue.

Hey guys. Alright, so on a cold boot, i.e. in the morning, My rig boots up fine, displays the boot screens and loads windows perfectly fine. however, the my graphics card's fans spin up and make this sort-of grinding noise, it's a MSi GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II, sometimes it's just one fan, sometimes it's two. Does anyone know why this is happening? It makes me worry that my card's gonna fry or something. If i open up my case and stop the fans on the card for a second the noise stops and never comes back until the next cold boot. Any suggests on what to do would be helpful. Thanks guys.

Nothing to do with the card just the fans. I get the same issue on certain fans in my machines and without replacing them you have already found the fix. Push the centre into the chassis and it will be fine.

Either the fans are getting old or just badly designed.

Sounds like the fans are munching one of your cables. If you have a tight graphics card placement like me check you don't have a cable laying on the back of the card in front in the intake of the card above.

It's not the fan touching any internal cables, I've checked multiple time. Seems like a typical prolem. I guess I'll just tough it out lol, thanks guys!

you could always purchase an aftermarket air cooler and get some added cooling performance aswell

in the op he says that the card is a twin frozr II. surley any aftermarket cooler would be no better performance than this?
