I have to agree with you all. My best multiplay experience was a BF1942 server owned by our guild. It was open to everyone, and we didn't line up guild vs guests, it was first come first in. If we found anyone acting like a twit.. i mean a REAL twit, we kicked 'em after warnings. But, my love was, and always will be the early days of Quake. THat, was a community. People playing till the late-late hours, then we'd meet in the middle of quake 2 map and trade tips, hints, ideas etc. Once we were all practicing juggling grenades when 4 ppl logged on to battle.. and walked in on that scene. ROFLMAO! They didn't fire a shot, just stood there... but those days are the history, and now is reality. Haxxors who need to do so to play, are the ultimate of lowclass humanoids. Useless, irritating, and proud to be an anvil around the experience of the others. You can only catch and kick... nothing else will do. They have no pride, no class, and will end up running corporations. Hmm, I feel some sort of rainbow thing there.. oh well. To those who use skills, I raise my glass and salute you, and hope to battle you on the polygonal grounds of death.
