Alright guys?
I Have made myself a new desk so i thought i’d share it.
I already have some Ikea stuff and i wanted to match the style when building my new desk. Ikea actually sell a desk that matches the stuff i already have, but the sizes were wrong for what i wanted and i couldn't justify the money they were asking.
Anyways...
So i started with an old desk top that my dad managed to grab from his workplace.

I then set about cutting it to the desired size.
With that done, i bought some timber and made the legs and stuff.
Once everything was cut and test fitted, i then glues and screwed the whole thing together.
I then broke out the filler and started...Filling :O
Once it had dried i gave the filler a sand.
I then sanded the whole thing and degreased it ready for paint.
Then i sanded it again and panel wiped it before the second coat.
Third coat
One last coat and it’s done. XD
Here it is in my room.
I had something similar before, but i made it from scrap wood and it was smaller. I had a sheet of acrylic on the old one to match the glass on the Ikea thing, so i’m reusing that until i can get some glass cut for my new one.
Just need to sort the rig out now!
