changing chipset heatsink

I've been meaning to change my chipset heatsinks for a while now. Smartguardin was reporting the temp at 51 degrees.

here is what It started out like.

thought I might as well improve the south bridge as well as i had the mobo out. Note the crappy application of paste by DFI:nono:, sadly this is typical of most board manufacturers:(

lots more piccys to come as I have now finished doing this little job and am back up and running sweet:D
 
the plan was to use a thermalright HR-05-SLI for the chipset and to use a larger passive heatsink taken from a dead mobos nforce2 northbidge for the southbridge.

unfortunately they didn't quite fit

so i snipped off 3 or 4 fins to make some clearance
