Guys,
I just wanted to drop you a message to let you know of some developments that have taken place this weekend.
In our quest to further Sys:Xtreme as a community and after speaking with Jim (XMS), I have agreed to help us branch our efforts out into other online related areas.
As a result, I have approached my old Counter-Strike Source team with the view to sign them as our first team, or Alpha team. Now, don’t worry, this doesn’t mean anything will be changing in our current line-up and this will bring massive benefits to our ever growing community.
In brief, the changes proposed are as follows:
1. Team Surrender Unlikely (S?U) will be taken over by Sys:Xtreme.
2. The new team will be run by two of the best UK players (both of which have confirmed their commitment to the team).
3. This team will seek to sign the cream of UK talent by using current contacts within the gaming community and also offering the support of Sys:Xtreme servers and extras such as in game commentary of major matches via the radio station etc.
4. The team will seek to attain the number one UK ranked status, with the view to play at the Cyber Professional League (CPL) tournament and World Clan Games, in addition to dominating the European online scene.
So, what does this all mean for us (the current team)? Well, nothing changes in terms of the team. Firstly, I will still be playing as a team member and will still be training the team. I’ll also assume the role of manager of the new team also and will seek to bring in further sponsors to increase the benefits brought to Sys:Xtreme.
So what will change? Well the following you’ll see happening, which I hope, you’ll all agree is a good thing.
- We will have access to the main teams tactics
- We’ll receive training from the top UK players
- Everyone will not only be members of a Overclocking and Modding community, but also become part of a massive gaming community.
-Sponsorship from potential companies such as Razor (who do mice btw) will filter down into our team (so yes, you could get free stuff!!).
Most of all though, we’ll be part of a massive gaming community where there will be a huge amount of interest in our team. The potential is massive. We’ve already agreed a deal to take on one of the best UK COD2 teams, along with the potential to take on a Quake4 team also.
At the end of the day though, nobody from the current SX line-up will be removed / kicked / told to leave. We’ll still remain the close knit bunch of mates and we’ll still have a good laugh playing CSS!
Let me know what you think, because you’re views are very important!
Cheers all!
Chris (Ins).
