Changes to SX - Important, please read.

Guys,

I just wanted to drop you a message to let you know of some developments that have taken place this weekend.

In our quest to further Sys:Xtreme as a community and after speaking with Jim (XMS), I have agreed to help us branch our efforts out into other online related areas.

As a result, I have approached my old Counter-Strike Source team with the view to sign them as our first team, or Alpha team. Now, don’t worry, this doesn’t mean anything will be changing in our current line-up and this will bring massive benefits to our ever growing community.

In brief, the changes proposed are as follows:

1. Team Surrender Unlikely (S?U) will be taken over by Sys:Xtreme.

2. The new team will be run by two of the best UK players (both of which have confirmed their commitment to the team).

3. This team will seek to sign the cream of UK talent by using current contacts within the gaming community and also offering the support of Sys:Xtreme servers and extras such as in game commentary of major matches via the radio station etc.

4. The team will seek to attain the number one UK ranked status, with the view to play at the Cyber Professional League (CPL) tournament and World Clan Games, in addition to dominating the European online scene.

So, what does this all mean for us (the current team)? Well, nothing changes in terms of the team. Firstly, I will still be playing as a team member and will still be training the team. I’ll also assume the role of manager of the new team also and will seek to bring in further sponsors to increase the benefits brought to Sys:Xtreme.

So what will change? Well the following you’ll see happening, which I hope, you’ll all agree is a good thing.

- We will have access to the main teams tactics

- We’ll receive training from the top UK players

- Everyone will not only be members of a Overclocking and Modding community, but also become part of a massive gaming community.

-Sponsorship from potential companies such as Razor (who do mice btw) will filter down into our team (so yes, you could get free stuff!!).

Most of all though, we’ll be part of a massive gaming community where there will be a huge amount of interest in our team. The potential is massive. We’ve already agreed a deal to take on one of the best UK COD2 teams, along with the potential to take on a Quake4 team also.

At the end of the day though, nobody from the current SX line-up will be removed / kicked / told to leave. We’ll still remain the close knit bunch of mates and we’ll still have a good laugh playing CSS!

Let me know what you think, because you’re views are very important!

Cheers all!

Chris (Ins).

I must say i'm very pleased with this arrangment.

The chance for what could easily be the top UK CSS/COD team to be bearing the SX tag can only do us good, and get us positive press :)

In addition to this, the fact that SysXtreme will enter a more broad gaming arena as well as sticking to our roots (Overclocking) can only be a good thing. After all, whats the main thing we do with our overclocked pc's - game :D

If anyone does have any questions, feel free to ask or PM me.

Tags?? Just some suggestions:

[-SX-]ª = for a or alpha

[-SX-]² = For team 2

[-SX-]³ = 3rd team.

Of course the "a" team could have [-SX-]¹ too :)

i suggested to XMS, that maybe have [-SX2-] with the 2 inside the brackets.

of course the 2 would be superscript but i dont know alt code

I like it outside the bracket like that^ cause it can look like [-SX-]cubed or squared. Ya know kinda not a 2nd or 3rd team (even though we will be ;))

Man do I look forward to watching some demo's of [-SX-]ª playing :worship:

I very much like the arrangement! This sounds like it has great potential for both the team and the forum/community as a whole.

Everything we are doing is just moving so fast right now it's making my head spin! Between the radio station getting backed by IDNet, the new SX UK clan, etc. We just seem to be moving the right direction at the moment which is a much needed change of events. It seemed like for the last month or so we were at a bit of a stalemate as far as servers, events, and expansions.

Keep up the good work everyone! The new game server should be done within the next week or two pending the results of the Xeons I got from our deuche bag buddy on ebay. Speaking of that I have a current offer on the table for a pair of brand new M0 stepping 2.4 Xeons in retail boxes for $250 if anyone cares to make a few donations to get these suckers purchased, I'm low on cash now waiting for a refund from Scan and the ebay fag. matt@fragtek.com is my PayPal addy for anyone that might have some extra cash laying in their account that could go to a good cause!

Thanks all, lets keep the good things comin'!

Maybe we could cast a vote on what everyone thinks looks best? But for the moment lets get the foundations layed down and worry about what we are gonna call eachother later :p

Sounds like things are moving up for US and UK, 'grats guys. I shall gracefully bow out, and just play socially on the SX servers if anyone wants to give me a game sometime.

Cheers for the positive feedback guys :D

A quick update:

- The S?U site will be transferred over to new url - www.SXGaming.com (hopefully today).

- We have created new logos (thanks Jim :D) and banners (Thanks AJ of S?U). These will be added to the site when the domain is switched over.

- Our pictures will be required for the CSS team area, so get your mugshots ready as a lot of people will be looking at you ;) With 500-700 hits a day, a lot of people will see us :worship:

- We now have an IRC room on Quakenet - #SX-Gaming. there is bot in this room which will maintain our topic and OP people on arrival. We do need to get as many people as possible in there as IRC is the major contact point for teams looking and arranging games. Plus we get to sit alongside the best players in the country

Thats about all for now, I'll keep you updated as to any other developments as and when they happen!

Cheers! :yumyum:

What happened to me? :(

Thats what you get for going away!!

Only kidding, i'll get it sorted. Be sure to submit your details to the thread i created.

WOW! This is good stuff! I've only just found out about this just now and it seems as though SX is blooming yet again! Reason why I only just found out: My PC has died since testin a chip for Davos :( (I'll make another thread about this with the details).

I'm really lookin forward to bein trained by top players (even though Ins is already doin this!!) and having access to all tactics. So will the top players be popping onto the SX server to mess about n stuff? I say this because I feel that the only way to get better is by playing people much better than you!

As long as we get to play games as we are then this is great news! :D
