Well they finally done it, PlusNet have announced that they are capping all of their services, to 5gb peak times 8am - 12 pm (lol) and 50gb off peak. Although tbh, it seems too little too late.

Woah... for a second there I thought you meant IDNet, and had to double check (I guess that's what I get for coming on the site after medication time!)

Wow, thats a harsh policy, what account are you on? Before I moved to IDnet I had a 30GB peek and 100GB offpeak FUP, not a cap. Which was quite resonable.

Just checked mine and it seems to be the same...

30gb peak, 100gb off, and if I go over that majorly they will email me.

Nope, they've brought the caps down, and they haven't told customers about it.

A Broadband Plus Usage Guideline will be published. This will be 5GB per month of peak time data transfer (8AM – Midnight). The guideline additionally allows for upto 50GB of off-peak usage. These figures are not fixed, and have been provided as a rough guideline amount only.

I'm not, im on IDNet :D, but the limits are to all their accounts (except premier) afaik.

I'm on premier, so heres hoping. :D

I'm not so certain about that, but tbh I'd avoid PN altogether.

They'll also enforce traffic management if you use stuff like usenet or torrents etc over 20gb a month.

Traffic management levels at peak-times, per user Speed Premier up to 2Mb

Clean allowance Up to line speed* 0 - 20GB

Level 1 Up to 512Kbps 20 - 25GB

Level 2 Up to 256Kbps 25 - 30GB

Level 3 Up to 128Kbps 30 - 35GB

Level 4 Up to 64Kbps 35GB+

I ment what Plusnet Account. Sorry.

For the 14,99 you pay for the cheaper plusnet account the allowence you get is quite fair compared to other ISP. The way they go about changeing there T&C's is what gets me, very bad business practice indeed.
