Chair shopping

Got a good chair atm, it's kinda like what every1 seems to have when they post their work/play areas.

What with age and being fat, I'm looking to get a chair capable of holding u to a good posture. I find the chair above is far too... comfortable ? and that it lets u relax too much without support.

Got a great one in work, but I'd find it hard to steal it and replace it Has one of those inflatable back things and adjusts everywhere.

So - best place for chairs and support ? Ofc I want to order it online ?!?!

Sick of slouching to type tbh, doing it now.

I would strongly advise going and trying them out mate, especially if you want one for good posture.

Viking Direct have nice chairs at good proces and Ikea have some too

Got mine from ikea and it's great. There were some there that didn't feel right so like Kempez said, you can't just pick one based on how it looks.

Does the job, had it for like 3 years now, starting to wear down. The arms are hard as hell being wood and all . I had to get wrist support to put on there for comfort.

I would really buy them online off the back of either a recommendation, a good one, or one that I've seen b4.

That argos one looks the same as the one I have, cept it's all black and plastic in the place of wood. The back has too much give in it for me. Comfortable - but I want to get away from that a bit cos it's not helping in the long run.

Viking Direct seem to stock the same ones we use in work - nice.

A chair is only going to do so much... You need to actively sit correctly, you can have bad posture in a good, supportive chair...

Seems like every other one in the chair section seems to be in the bbc somewhere

The one I have in work atm is the type with the pump that fills the lower back area. The arms go up & down too.

It's probably true also that the 'comfortable' chairs are great if u don't sit in them most of the day

They used to have posture-enforcing chairs in schools some time ago. Til kids had spasms cos they're still growing.

im currently using a kneeling chair and it does nothing for me really.

I tried one at college which basically wedged into the lumbar section. Loved it - so i need a heavily lumbar supported chair

I'd definitely agree with Viking Direct. Last I checked they had a pretty good selection and the prices were pretty reasonable.

I got fed up looking in shops and got mine from a breakers yard!

You can get all shapes and sizes, even lumbar support. Just watch out for electric seats or you'll need a power source as well.

But trust me, it's perfect and you can get it in different coulours, or check out the rest of their products. This one goes up/down, sit to attention or lazy boy style !

Oh yeah and btw, it cost me £82 last year but definately worth it.

At the time, I had a silver tower, cream monitor and silver speakers etc. Now everything including my desk is matte black but it still looks good, although it has to be noted that constant maintanence is required. My desire to wear jeans has left the bum bit a shade of blue, I'm sure I could clean it but can't really be bothered. You can get in black for £85 tho...

Buying the right parts for your PC is always hard and knowing that you made the right choice is important. Little things like your mates' commenting on your new rig, hitting the high scores on 3DMark or being able to play the latest games at the highest settings help reinforce your decision and allow you to sleep at night.

I almost purchased that chair on a couple of occasions, actually I did buy the black version but it never came so I got refunded. I have my eyes on this chair now
