Hi All!
I have done something that I have wanted to do for a long time and that is to do a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis on the Noctua NH-D14. For those of you that do not know CFD, it is the study of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics and much much more.
You start of drawing a 3D model of what you want to simulate and then import it into the CFD software package. For this I used CD-adapco's STAR-CCM+. This is the same software that Formula 1 teams use on their cars. I specified a 80degC on the bottom of the CPU block.
I am attaching some pictures, but I have very high resolution images that I can also put up. I have many more images that I can also put up for you all to view.
Comment and feel free to ask some questions.
