Hi all

I am new to computers so any help would be great, got myself a 2nd hand rig and i am thinking of upgrading my gtx 275.

Is this the proper way to install a card, delete the driver and turn off the machine unscrew and press the release catch at the side of card and pull it out then push in the new card until i hear a click then put the screw in fire up the rig then install new driver.

thx for any help

You uninstall the driver dude in control panel, dont just start manually deleting stuff. You will also need to make sure your psu has the power connectors needed for the new GPU.

I think its got the proper plugs it as 2x 6+2 and it says its a coolermaster 700w silent pro, do you think that would be enough for 1 gtx 570 .

The 10 steps:

1) install driver sweeper. (recommended you place shortcut on desktop before furthering this process)

2) uninstall PhysX driver <=====make sure you do this one before moving to step 3

3) uninstall GPU driver

3) reboot into safe mode

4) click driver sweeper

5) sweep Nvidia drivers and physx drivers

6) shut down computer

7) remove GPU from slot

8) install new GPU making sure everything fits and you have enough power

9) start computer

10) go to Nvidia.com and install the latest drivers for your GPU and PhysX

and yes you have enough power.
