I have a thing for estate/wagons. I like the Nissan Stagea.
Yeah they're pretty much a Skyline estate...
I'm a huge fan of estates as I said. Many years ago some guy I knew had a Ford Granada estate with a Chevy big block in it. In the back it had 4 x Cerwin Vega 18s. He spent about £15k on the sound system and in all honesty it's one of the most magnificent wastes of money I have ever seen. It was literally painful being in there with the stereo on lol.
The alfa has done 50k miles and is so comfortable!. It's also probably the more reliable of the two cars. Its so italian though! For example, in order to get to the fuel cap you have to pull a string that is located in the boot. In order to get into the boot you have to press a button on the dashboard.NOO NOT AN ALFA...
but tbf everything is better than your corsa lol
300zx or 3 series coupe

300zx N/A with a nice exhaust. Cambelt will need to be done (not a cheap job as it involves taking the engine out) but the body is really solid. Cheap too. Insurance is cheaper because it might just possibly be an automatic. If I can find a place that'll do the engine work (as the alternator will need replacing as well as they're really junky apparently) that'll need doing I'll be getting it. Its a shame the engine needs removing to do any work but the noise will be worth it.
Dude, the alfa is the best choice here, a jap car for a daily is no no lol!!!!!!!!
Not a daily! I don't have a parking spot at work so I cycle instead. if I get a job that isn't within cycling distance then I'll have to be sensible.
The corsa, while it is the ultimate in hooning technology, is nearly out of tax and insurance. I've been shopping around for over a year now !
-edit- thanks for the link, I'll use him if I get the Nissan
Gonna be honest just take this advice, im not saying dont buy a jap car, im saying make sure you always have £3000 in the bank saved up, they're not cheap when they break and with drift tax on anything jap atm getting bits is silly money, im more than happy to come with you to view some cars make sure you get your monies worth.
But you're a clever cookie....
cheers for the offer man! Yeah, I gathered I'd have to always have a chunk saved for such things. The ZX is gonna be a bit of a project tbh and it wouldn't be a true barnsley-mobile unless it was a bit of a hooptie..
I'v got a list of things that need work on it but mostly mechanically (and body wise) its super sound. Doesn't have the top leaking issue either!
Does the boot leak? What about subframe mounts are they rotten? Jacking points? I know they have 2 piece sills are they still there? coz im sure you know you cannot ever jack a jap car from the sides! either diff on the rear or the mount on the front, you said it was the auto box, is the cooling element still there if so it isnt rotten is it? Does the diff whine at all, even the slightest? Is it the later model with the TC or early without it?
