Car photos/discussion thread

I bit the bullet and got a new gearbox for my corsa (as the selling of it fell through :( ). turned out to only be £300 incl fitting :D. That gives me another year or so of saving for an e30 or something exciting. Or an Abarth 500...

Just looking at car stereos again but the digital ones are saying about a seperate antenna? Whats this all about?

Something like this.

Do you mean dab ?

They need a different aerial, or a converter for the standard aerial.
something like this:

It will also need a switched 12v connection, that's normally part of the loom to fit an aftermarker unit.
3 types of converter are available, iso (round plug) fakra (small flat type), then the normal fm.

^ That one is a dab from Sony.
The one you linked to, is just a normal unit.

Nothing huge to report but i purchased a E36 vert in Estroil Blue to use over the winter, got bored of walking around in the freezing cold!

Still on the hunt for another skyline.....

I got my stereo sorted, its the Sony something 4000BT. So much clearer, fancy blue or red lighting (blue matches the outside of my car and mats, and the red matches the rest of the interior lights), USB connection for iPod, Bluetooth, all the business for answering calls and such. Very pleased. Cost £95 in Halfords, plus had to buy some aerial adapter for a fiver to go with it.

Also well done for finding the only e36 NOT used for drifting in the UK ^_^
