Car photos/discussion thread

First car was a 1999 focus 1.6i was a piece of crap
Then a 2006 megane 1.5dci crap car great engine
Then a 2003 toyota hilux 2.4d4d great piece of kit
Then a 2011 vw scirocco 1.4 tsi. Nippy but it wasnt very grippy and it was insane on the juice
Then a 2012 landrover discovery 3.0 sdv6. My current car its really lovely to drive and its got plenty of gadgets to keep me happy. Not too thirsty. Hard on the front left tire hut the tracking is fine???????
Im going to buy a 370z next year. Prob 2011 low miles. I think they are gorgeous. Also seei g as I turned 25 in june the insurance is cheap as chips for one. So im happy. Id love a gtr but I cant afford a 80k car yet lol

That wing does look pretty stupid , it looks like a shopping cart ...lol
I guess it's a personal choice.

At the moment I have a project car.

This is how I bought it...

And this is it at the moment...

Since that pic I have fitted a few bits back into the engine bay. At the moment I'm slowly rebuilding the engine. All painted and polished, of course XD

Hopefully I'll finish the mechanical bits by Christmas/early next year

Currently I drive a green 1L Nissan Micra :P

Here it it with some MDF on the roof LOL...

My next project will probably be an S2000.

such a poorly cared for example, how can people just treat cars like that i mean :(

Makes me wanna get it an restore it to its former glory!

Go for it! They're really cheap to buy in japan due to fuel prices (Nissan Micras have a better resale value) and other such things. Get a four door version though, those things look badass.

MDF? Don't you mean spoiler? ;D. Got to love the 106, IMO the only real successor to the 205.

Car of the day 10/10 solid job japan :rollinglaugh: . It is white, maybe it should be the new mobile OC3D headquaters?

Yeah... 200 KG of down force at 60. Really helps with that awesome bouncy cornering :P
And yes, the last good hot hatch Peugeot made. Should be a right little stunner when it's done.

ive owned 5 106's in my driving career lol!

the best one was the blue XSi, this thing omg was stupidly stupidly fast!

it was cammed and very well tuned, and had a dastek piggyback ecu! ahh the old school days

That red one you see, is 8 miles after a engine rebuild, i blew it up lol! thats the oil trail coming from it!

That XSi looks very smart.
5!? I've had 2 106's and a Saxo.

yeah 5, ive had a saxo VTs phase 1, which was cammed and mapped 4-1 manifold with a straight through exhaust, it was loud, not really a daily driver, ill see if i can find a photo of it, it was rare as well, being on a S plate

the XSi was track spec, buckets, stripped out etc etc, only thing it was missing was a roll cage, but at the time i owned it i changed careers, and sat in the garage for 8 months, i then sold it to someone who put a turbo engine in it, and then i was told few weeks after that he took it on track and wrapped it round a tire wall, i never did get a hold of the guy i sold it too, but it hasn't been on the insurance database since i sold it so who knows.....

Not exactly a car, but this is what I'm zipping about on currently... Aprilla RS125 (not my one, just a pic off google... CBA to get my camera/usb cable out) :)

I'm actually still 16 so it's not STRICTLY Speaking legal, but I only use it about once a week as a toy... once I'm 17 (26 dec) I'll be able to do the school run with it... should be awesome :D

As for cars, I've always had a soft spot for the Chevelle SS :

Also I'd love a morgan sometime later in life :D

That's a shame that is. I think i remember seeing it on the 106Owners. My GTi is Adrians old car, if you know him?

I want to throw in some 743 cams, get a nice 4-2-1 mani (already came with a 3" pug sport straight through), look into throttle boddies and then get it remapped. I think I'm going to strip the back too, get a piece of carpeted ply etc... do it cleanly as it will be a daily driver.

That looks mental xD. Enjoy!

-EDIT- Might be buying my friend's 106 quicksilver from him as he is going on a gap year soon. It is stock (good for insurance) but after a year I might get me some nice wheels, lower it (only slightly due to Cambridge's love of speed bumps and potholes from which no man or car shall return).

On a more japan themed note, check this out :O http://www.jdmauctionwatch.com/car-of-the-day-25042013-s30-nissan-fairlady-z/
