Car photos/discussion thread

If you dont get that feeling, you know where you just stop smiling and grinning and talking to the car like its emotionally connected to you, then its not the right car! there was only one other car i felt this way about, and that was my 1.8T Golf, what a car!
The only emotion I felt with my car ( a MG ZR) was hatred. Now it is without a head gasket. Apparently MG Rover thought it was a good idea to make it out of plastic or something stupid like that. I'm going to see if I can sell it to the local MG specialists and use the money to eventually get either a 205 stdt, a golf mk1 (only a 1.1 though :() or my mate's 106 quicksilver.

shame i not free on the weekend's i would have done the headgasket for you. obviously you pay for the parts.

get the quiksilver, 4-1 manifold and nice exhaust, lower it 40mm and you've got a nippy car that will kill most things on the road providing you know how to take corners ;)

Ta but trust me the car was on its last legs, it always felt like it was going to fall apart in one way or another, pretty sure the exhaust would've needed work as well. The quicksilver is going to be my most viable option however I very much doubt I can do anything mod wise for a year due to insurance :( . I'd probably go for wheels like this and lower it a bit: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/dare/dr-rs/matt-black-gold-rivets/16-inch

Kinda tempted to go for one of these though:

Cyclones look best on a 106, have a look few pages back my 106 had cyclones on it!

no dont get a civic man!! seriously dont, if anything Honda, get a DA6, DC2, S2000 or a NSX, they are the only acceptable Honda' you can buy!

All you lucky boys with your cars!

I passed my driving test three months ago and was promised by my boss he'd buy my first car, then it turned into well I might not but you can have a drive in the range rover sport and I'll think of insuring you on it (he has a a 2012 RR Sport, Hummer, and I think he now actually owns a white Ferrari?!) as well as a BMW and Mercedes in Spain....but being the bullcraper he is, didn't happen.

Been trying to get myself a car for a month now, originally it was going to be a 2012 Ford Fiesta, just paid by finance over five years but their finance company (banks) wouldn't have it, then they got another finance acceptance for a Peugeot 207 1.4 HDi Millesim, but then they decided they wanted two thousand upfront, then yesterday they decided I could have the Fiesta if I put £200 upfront and have six months TAX not 12...I'd had enough by this point and I want a bike also so I've told them this morning I'm not having it, I could get a decent car for a couple of thousand, and a bike and insure them both for less than 10k so bye bye!

So now I'm on the hunt! Don't really know what cars I like but I REALLY want a bike, I might actually get the bike first but that'll be once winter has passed now since the bike will have to go away shortly. Bike wise I'm thinking around the Suzuki GSXR 600cc (still doing my homework but I'd imagine I'd need to get a restrictor because this bike will be over 47bhp). Here is a pic of the 2012 model. For a bike a few years older your looking at at least 4-5 thousand though so it might be sensible for my first bike to be cheaper!

Kind of trusting my Sisters partner to pick me out something nice, he's bike mad and rides a Honda Fireblade. :(

Edit: Dude in the tank wins...just waiting for someone to crop up now who flies an Apache for a living.

thats a k6-7. lush bike but the 33hp on a bike like that would break your heart. just letting you know. you could pick one of them up for bout 4k probably. what age are you aswell cos the insurance on a supersport is bonkers. im 25 with 5 years ncd and its still 700 for a 600cc supersport bike. but 250 for a 1000cc naked with a blade engine lol. research my man. it will save you pounds and tears. i got a sv 650 thinking the ins would drop faster than it did. my insurance went up 2 years lol

Ive driven one of these, all i can say is, yeaaaahhhh

He said he could remove some bits to make it cheaper, go for it :p.

i want it as it is, you'd be surprised how quickly people change there minds when you wave several thousands in there face in cash!

but if off to work now, so ill give him a call once i get home later

As they say, money talks ;D . I've decided that I won't buy a new car until next summer, I currently cycle to work/everywhere and I think I might just set aside the money I'll get for my MG, maybe spend it on pc upgrades or restore one of my racing bikes. A year of saving should also hopefully land me enough money to get something awesome, I'd love either a 205 GTi, a Mk2 Golf or a Starlet Glanza/GT turbo and a load of saving should mean I could afford the insurance and the car.

I only passed my test this month but i've had my own car since may. Peugeot 206 lx 1.4. Goes pretty well for a w reg car. Head gasket went on it last week but that's all been sorted now :D My dream car would probably be a nissan 200sx. I just love the look of them, seen a few around Hereford and they sound incredible.
