Okay guys,

I purchased Gollums PC5000 OCZ series ram and it fantastic!!

Will memtest stable 326FSB @ 3-4-4-8

I am running 296 @ 2.5-3-3-6 the reason?

My trusty steed the FX55SD is not stable above this HTT/FSB speed.

The interesting thing for me in teh whole BH5 versus TCC5 thing is that at the bench spped sI can run at the scores are a match to those by BH5 - if only my CPU could reach that FSB/HTT I could then run 11*321 and that would, I believe - kick some ass big style.

I am off to scorchio's on Wednesday to try it in his rig to see if we have more joy there - will keep you posted, fingers crossed.

If anyone knows the best TCCD/TCC% BIOS to use - post it here, we'll give a go.

Have you tried running the cpu with the mach 2, the cold maybe knocking your max clocks down......

If you look around Xtreme you will find 95% of people get thier high clocks (300Mhz+) are on air cooling.....

Well the fact that it will run memtest 1:1 at 326 but not windows is the odd thing although I agree the cooling may well be the problem as we all know the controller goes crappy when it gets very cold from dumo's cascade experiences.

Maybe I need to convert the mach into a waterchiller and have a complete watercooling loop running around 10-16 degrees?

Although the strange thing is Gollums rig on R507 cooling, could reach 320+ Mhz HTT/FSB.

as I said the RAM is great I know coz I can still memtest it stable above 312mhz, just cant boot at that speed.

Nah it crapped out in windows at about 320 but memtested much higher same as yours. I guess it only got 20mhz higher because the controller in the 57 is slightly better than in the 55.
