there are 2 main types on WIFI network

'Infrastructure' and 'AD-HOC'

Infrastructure -- this involvers using a wireless accesspoint/router hooked on to the network and this is what other devices connect to

AD-HOC -- uses just computers with wireless adaptors with no router / accesspoint

which type are you trying to setup and what stage of the proceedings are you @??

does the router have modem capabilities or is the net connection hooked to a pc on the network ??

no it is not a modem it has a port to stick in the modem ethernet cable

if you are running sp2 then it has a wireless network setup wizard that could be of some use to you.

i only have sp2 on one of the number of pcs !! my pc only has sp2

go to the machine with the internet connection and go to its [the connections] properties then advanced then enable internet connection sharing u should then b able to access that connection ova ur network (my net places)

yeah you have to be very careful with wireless lollers
