Can the weight of the Noctua NH-D14 damage the motherboard?

I plan on getting an nh-d14 for Ivy Bridge when it’s released but the weight of it does concern me, it’s over 1.2 kg with 2 fans. Is it possible for it to snap the board in half. The only time I move my pc is when I turn it on its side to work on it or carry it outside to clean out the dust, I never take it in the car or anything like that.

The Noctua comes with a backplate, and the 2 stage mounting mechanism is second to none. Wouldn't worry about it tbh - its all good.

if threw with enough force i am sure i could break many things with the d14 but if you mount it right you will have no issues with it snapping a mobo.

Most of the weight of the cooler is very low on the cooler, near the MOBO, so not like a lot of leverage pulling on the MOBO, and its not really that heavy anyway, I see no issue to worry about unless your MOBO is made of gingerbread.
