well firstly let me say that i (now) know that ocz is not a company to be trusted when it comes to SSDs (or psu's , etc... ) but when i did build my system i didn't know and was trying to save a few dollars so i got one... now i've been getting these bsod

and then the reason i was wondering IF this can be the SSD's fault is because after this bsod the computer restarts and when it does i get this error

and this doesn't go away unless i do one of two things, turn off the computer (as in unplug it or switch off the psu) or reboot it, go to the bios and reselect the ssd as the boot drive (i also have a hdd that i use for random videos music etc)

thanks in advance guys

I've got that SSD. got that BSOD every single day for months. drove me to the brink of insanity, grabbed a crucial m4 and it hasnt happened since. using my vertex for Steam/origin for stuff like skyrim. could be some other issue but that was my personal experience.

Have you tried and run a repaire with the OS? maybe there are important boot files missing.

If that doesnt help i would check if there are any new firmware updates for your ssd.

when i got the ssd it was much worse, but as azurite said, i looked for the newest firmware and updated that, and since then its been MUCH better, but still probably once ever 1-2weeks this happens (usually at night while folding, so i don't see it).

as for the m4, i want to either get one of those or an intel 520 (both are practically the same, but the intel comes with 5 year warranty, and the m4 with 3 years, so really depends on if i can find a deal and i need to save up for it, so probably need to wait till the summer)

no i haven't tried to repair the OS, how do i do that??

Also two things, when it doesn't boot the computer does realize the ssd is even there o.O and IF what your saying is true wouldn't it never boot? just curious because it *usually works

thanks for the quick replies

I had the same BSOD before related to a SSD. However for me it was much clearer it was the SSD. I also tried a complete reinstall of the OS, and that didn't work either. I even stuck it in a docking bay via USB thing, and it wasn't read by that either. RMAd mine to Corsair and they sent me back a new one.

Problem is as you're getting to boot sometimes, it could well be something else. I'd run memtest and SSDLife personally.
