can i link my laptop to pc through homehub and how??

hi guys i have quite a few files on my laptop and need to get em over to pc to wipe laptop and do a fresh install. my laptop has wireless and i have tplink 108mb wireless dongle in the pc and my homehub

can i connect wireless with the 2 and how would i do this?

the network sharing is the hard bit for me, allways bork it

creat a local area network (lan) using a router or hub, plug both computers into the hub using cat5 cable (ethernet cable). Then you share all the drives on your laptop by right clicking and choosing share (go through all the security stuff and click ok). Then you go to network places on your desktop and choose show workgroup computers, all the drives from your laptop will appear. Click and drag the files you want to the appropriate drive on your desktop thats the way i know how to roughly never done it tho if i where gonna do it thats how i would. what i said is not a 100% but worth a try
